I enjoyed reading this book on my recent vacation. It was encouraging and motivating.

This is the true and recent story of a cancer survivor. It is also a story about the power of prayer and faith in the God who can change all circumstances. Janice Cooper begins her prologue with a scene in her dentist’s office where she was to have a routine procedure. Yet under anaesthetic, she has an experience that makes her believe she may be dying at that very moment. She is comforted by a voice when she prays.

We never know when our last moment on earth will be. Disease can strike at any time. In Janice’s case, the disease was cancer. The author, was diagnosed with cancer at a fairly young age. She takes the reader through her daily struggles and routines, from the diagnosis at her physician’s office, through visits to the specialists, surgeries at the hospital, school presentations, visits from friends and family, and even vacations.

Jan is confident in the expertise of the medical specialists that are taking care of her. But there is one thing that keeps her positive and hopeful. Her faith and trust in a God who heals – even today!

Just this week, Janice wrote to me to tell me that she participated in an “Author Showcase” to promote her book in a public area for the first time. She had the opportunity to witness to several people who have relatives or friends with breast cancer. She confided that this was very emotional for her, but also very fulfilling.
